Government RelationsPOGAM is dedicated to promoting a strong and healthy natural gas and crude oil industry in the state to help meet the needs of energy consumers in Pennsylvania and the Northeast. Our Government Relations efforts focus on state legislative and regulatory issues that matter most to independent producers. POGAM maintains an active presence in Harrisburg, the state capital. We have created, lobbied for and successfully won the passage of numerous pieces of legislation benefiting our industry over the years. POGAM's ongoing dialogue with state agencies and commissions also yields substantial benefits for producers. We communicate regularly with the Department of Environmental Protection on state regulatory programs affecting producer activities, with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on public lands issues, and with the state Public Utility Commission or any other state agency that could affect oil and gas interests in Pennsylvania. |
